Film Notes and Highlights
Keon Coleman started off his career at Florida State with three touchdowns and showed he is a playmaker. He is great in contested catches and is able to track the ball on deep throws. Coleman is also great in breaking off or extending routes when the quarterback is scrambling. He has very strong hands and shows good moves in open space, despite his lack of pure straight line speed. On slants and crosses he is great at positioning to box out defenders on short and intermediate passes.
Keon Coleman does not always get great separation against defenders but I think improved this year in route running. I would like to see Coleman be better against physical coverage off the line and be able to come in and out of routes more precisely. Coleman is a playmaker and is not just a contested catch player. I am not sure if he can be a WR1 but could be definitely a top end WR2 for a team. – Brandon Haye
