Kris Abrams-Draine is an excellent cover corner. He shows a great ability shadowing wide receivers. While he can have issues with quick burst receivers, he shows incredibly recovery and breaks on the ball that always put him in a position to make a play. Abrams-Draine does a good job understand his position in zone concepts. And, when faced with long-developing routes, does a good job getting his head turned or keeping his hands active. However, there are a couple concerns.
Kris Abrams-Draine’s lack of speed could hurt him at times at the next level against quicker players. While he has good recovery, sometimes he will get beat – and badly. In run support, Abrams-Draine takes bad tackle angles. His effort also is reliant on how the game has gone – whether the team is winning, or if he is having a good game himself. If the game is out of hand, his effort can be questionable. I think Kris Abrams-Draine is a early Day 2 prospect who could have a very good career in the NFL. – Thomas Christopher
