Film Notes and Highlights

MarShawn Lloyd has dealt with injuries in his collegiate career, but the last two years have really shown what he can do. In 2023 he had over seven yards per carry and showcased his receiving ability. Lloyd is explosive and has elite speed to take it the distance. Along with speed, his quick acceleration makes him tough to defend. He is patient, with quick feet to avoid defenders and make cuts in the hole and open field.

Another part of MarShawn Lloyd’s game that impressed me was his power for his size. However, with all that speed, sometimes he tries to bounce it outside too much. The major concerns I have is his injury history and lack of work load. The most carries Lloyd has in a year is 116, and in only 11 out of 31 games does he have 10 or more carries. He has all the talent and I could see him being utilized like Jahmyr Gibbs as the 1B paired with another bigger back on a roster. -Brandon Haye
