Film Notes and Highlights

Xavier Legette is an interesting film watch. At times he dominates and could be a top five receiver but other times he struggled against top competition. Also, it took him five years to break out at South Carolina. I know he was transitioning from quarterback but there was not elite competition stopping him from succeeding.

Legette is elite in jump balls and contested catches. A lot of times Spencer Rattler knew he could throw it up and Legette would go get the ball. Also his catch radius is so big that everything is within his reach, which really helps the quarterback with inaccurate passes. One thing that amazed me was his acceleration, on slants or crosses if he got a step he was gone. He is another one that I worry the lack of separation at the next level might limit his ceiling. – Brandon Haye
