Film Notes and Highlights

Christian Jones is somewhat of a raw tackle prospect. He didn’t play on the offensive line until he was a Senior in high school. Because of that, his fifth-year Senior status in college means little to me in terms of knocking down his potential draft stock.

Christian Jones shows great IQ as an offensive lineman and is fairly balanced in both the run and pass game. He shows good, yet inconsistent footwork and pad level. While he has good straight line speed to help in the second level on run blocks, he does struggle at times against EDGE players with good bend. At the Senior Bowl, Jones showed his potential by stonewalling Alabama EDGE Chris Braswell on multiple occasions. I believe Jones has Day 2 talent who will be a steal on Day 3; having the ability to immediately step in as a backup swing tackle as a rookie. – Thomas Christopher
