The month of September has been a drastic one for the college football world, and with it, a massive change in 2026 power rankings from week-to-week. We’ve seen major upsets, close contests, and fantastic individual performances. As we head into Week 4 of the season, we’re here to give the most up-to-date list of the major power rankings for college football.

If this is your first time viewing these rankings, each week our staff puts together their list for the best college football teams in the country. We tally the average and create a composite to see which teams made the list – and who are on the cusp.

Other Notes: A lot has changed since Week 0. Texas is now on the top of our power rankings, while the rest of the top-10 has seen a dramatic change. However, the SEC still has the most representatives in our rankings, with nine current teams. Following them closely is the Big Ten who has eight teams represented. The Big 12 is third with four teams, and the ACC is fourth with only three. However, the ACC has multiple honorable mentions and a few teams on the cusp of making the list. Notre Dame remains the only independent team in these rankings.
